Hummus w/ Pita (155 PHP)

Cafe Mediterranean has been serving the sunny flavours of Southern Europe in Manila, Philippines since 1994 and they continue their legacy of good food and hospitality even in 2017. They currently have 6 branches (Mall of Asia, Greenbelt 1, Estancia Mall, Power Plant Mall, Alabang Town Center, and The Podium) spread across the metro, which are enough to say they’ve made the Mediterranean cuisine happen in Manila.

We recently featured the Cafe Mediterranean in The Podium as they were first few tenants to open at the New Wing of The Podium Mall in Ortigas. Eater Philippines loves to share good food online and we unknowingly joined their photo contest, which won.

The Prize? A delicious meal for 2 at the Cafe Mediterranean of choice.

We picked The Cafe Med in the Power Plant Mall as we consider it to be the most vibrant among their stores especially on a Sunday, but the same can be said for any restaurant located along the busy lower ground hallway of the mall.

The Cafe Mediterranean, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati

The open entrance is welcoming and the interior immersive. Colourful framed patterns and pictures decorate the white walls. Playful pastel colours accent and create the character we love of about the Mediterranean. Their distressed wood tables add texture to the whole ambiance.

Hummus w/ Pita (155 PHP)

Hummus with pita to start. The classic chickpea and sesame  dip from the Middle East.

Moussaka (375 PHP) w/ pita (optional rice)

The classic Greek dish layered eggplant, finely ground beef and bechamel sauce. Served with regular pita with an option for an alternative (surcharge) in the photo is their buttered rice. This smooth and creamy dish is one their bestsellers and is a recommended dish for those looking for a light meal for lunch or in our case brunch.

Grilled Chicken, Mediterranean Style (155 PHP) w/ pita (rice optional)

Chicken marinated with a mix of Mediterranean spices and a hint of chili. Served with Regular pita, but can be replaced with biryani, buttered rice, or couscous with a surcharge.

Chocolate Fudge Cake (195 PHP)

It’s a classic chocolate cake smothered in mild sweet chocolate, underneath is a moist chocolate cake. This dessert is perfect for those who prefer a sharp and sweet end to their meal, but we recommend having their Baklava instead.
