I usually visit the latest restaurants around the Metro the soonest possible, but my instinct told me to wait for Grind Bistro to mature from their opening last May 2016. Months passed by and my experience of burgers grew, with my favourites such as Sweet Ecstasy opening up shop at the 2/F of Uptown Parade, BGC and the chain that started my cravings, 8 Cuts Burger Blend. While browsing through the Booky App my interest was reignited with an offer for Grind Bistro, which was timely, as I was just along Bonifacio High Street looking for a place to eat. I quickly booked a table for 2 and within 3 minutes I received a confirmation for my reservation.
The Heat Burger (450 PHP) – Lettuce, Tomatoes, Beef patty, cheese, chopped jalapeños evenly laid-out, and crispy onion rings. Sided with a bowl of potato chips.

The Heat Burger (450 PHP) offers a visual wow factor that has been replicated at so many places, that my eyes just saw a burger. Start with a bite of their crispy onion rings, which has nice crunchy batter that holds the moist onion rings inside. Setting aside the rings we have the burger itself, ingredients layered evenly and passing the hand-held burger test perfectly, ready for my first bite. I had my patty “Medium” done a notch lower than their recommended “Medium Well’ doneness, which I will try on my next visit. My patty was juicy and meaty with my first bite already satisfying my burger craving.
The Lemonade that’s included with the promo was really strong, which they compensated with a high dose of sugar, which I solved by requesting another glass of water to spread it into 2.
The Grind Burger (395 PHP) – 100% USDA Beef, brioche crisp from the oven, vine ripe tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, sweet onions, and Tiny’s secret sauce.
A good patty and bun is all you need to impress burger enthusiasts, which is why they have this basic burger representing their passion for high quality burgers. This passes easily and is a #REYcommended burger to have when cravings come your way. Pair it with their bowl of fries if you must, which I found overcooked and sprinkled with too much salt. To end my meal I ordered 2 scoops of their homemade cookie dough ice cream, which I shared with my brother.

Homemade Ice cream (175 PHP | 2 scoops) We had their chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, a creamy thick consistency that’s heavy on the palate, which suits well after a meaty burger.
Cristina Carls (Owner) is an advanced sommelier and her passion is clearly evident with the extensive collection on available.
The afterwork crowd will surely enjoy the relaxing laid back ambiance.
