This April, Pan Pacific Manila features Chef Tatung Sarthou with a buffet of classic Filipino flavours that pays homage to the rich heritage of the Philippine culture. The themed buffet entitled Cusina Ni Lola (Grandmother’s Kitchen) will be available from April 17 to 21, 2017 at the Pan Pacific Lounge on 21st floor of the Pan Pacific Hotel in Manila.
Chef Michael Giovan Sarthou III, popularly known as Chef Tatung, is a chef, writer, and culinary heritage advocate. During our short conversation, he expressed his passion to present the “Flavours of the Philippines” in its purest form and share his love of cooking that developed while growing up in Cebu where his grandmothers would let him help cook in the family kitchen. His cheery personality has landed him numerous TV appearances and magazine features throughout the years, and to simply his take on Filipino food he released his new book titled “Rice to the Occasion” published by Foresight Books, it features 20 recipes paired by beautiful photos by Paulo Antonio.
CUSINA NI LOLA From April 17 to 21, Chef Tatung will take diners on a gastronomic journey of Philippine heritage cuisine at spacious Pan Pacific Lounge on the 21st floor with a view of the Manila Bay for only 1,000 PHP net per person.
