Bistro United at Kapitolyo, Pasig reinvents itself from their simple buffet concept “The Round Table” and aims to present the Filipino cuisine creatively in form while keeping flavours traditional. Their modern ambiance is bright and light on the eyes with carefully decorated areas such as the green wall by the bar and the industrial glass partitioned private room that seats up to 8 people comfortably. The main dining area is relaxed and assumes a chic vibe that isn’t commonly associated with Filipino restaurants. Its location just across the Ace Water Spa is accessible and convenient with their storefront parking.
We started our meal at Bistro United with a refreshing Guyabano shake and their Smoked Fish Pockets and Crispy Ubod Salad.
Shortly after our samplers our hefty mains arrived in style, the star of the night was the Porchetta Kare-Kare (345 PHP) with its braided string beans and cripy roasted porchetta on display on a pool of their light yet nutty sauce. Their Dalandan Chicken with Ube Rice (245 PHP) is another dish they made pop with colour and flavour, taro (ube) chopped and cooked with the rice for a vibrant appearance and taste. Also on our spotlight is their tender Amazing Roast Beef (415 PHP) and meaty Crispy Ribs with Bone Marrow Rice (295 PHP) both of which devoured.
Tilapia Ice Cream – eaten on arrival. Our companions loved it, but a little more fishy taste would sell the flavour better.
They have Weekend buffets for as low as 425+ PHP per person.
