January 15, 2018 – Grand Hyatt Manila opens its doors!

Experience the grandiose hospitality of Grand Hyatt Manila as it proves to be the benchmark for grand living in a relaxed yet entertaining setting by delivering a one-stop shop for all guests’ wants, needs and more in a dramatic, bold and worldly ambiance.

The property is inspired in design by its older sister Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur which opened in 2012. Resembling characteristics such as the lobby water feature, identical illuminated staircases, and the predominantly dark wood tones give the interior that classic sophisticated elegance with a contrast of modern clean lines.

461 elegantly appointed guestrooms, grand club rooms and suites are adorned with honeyed wood paneling, maple hardwood floors, pristine richly veined gray-white marble bathrooms, a separate toilet area, spacious walk-in closet and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a panoramic view of the surrounding skylines of the Ortigas, Makati, and Bonifacio Global city.

The Lounge at the lobby is spread out across multiple platforms inspired by the design of the terraced rice fields (rice terraces) commonly found across Asia. The top most terrace is where you’ll find the stage where live performers serenade guests into a relaxed mood.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Grand King Room – 45 square meters

The expansive 45 square meter floor area and wider layout of the rooms allowed designers to integrate unique features such as a foyer, separate toilet room with it’s own corner sink and a spacious walk-in closet. The bathroom has the ability to open-up to the bedroom via manual sliding door, allowing guests to a have view of the city or the wall mounted TV while soaking in the tub.

Grand King Room – Bathroom

The Grand King Rooms feature a spacious walk-in shower fitted with a marble bench and equipped with both handheld and rainfall shower-heads. Toiletries are provided by  June Jacobs a brand renowned for their patented anti-oxidant blend of white, red and green tea extracts. The June Jacobs is the standard line of bathroom amenities for Grand Hyatt hotels. Interesting that bathroom amenity set at Grand Hyatt Manila is packaged in cosmetic tube containers rather than classier bottled variants presented at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

The deep soaking free-standing tub breaks from the compact look of the bathroom with its rounded corners and is enhanced further with the sliding divider that opens the bathtub to the bedroom.

Grand King Room – Freestanding bathtub

The Grand Double Rooms feature a unique dual bathroom design which caters to MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) guests with twin-sharing accommodations. This new dual-bathroom concept provides guests in a twin-configuration their very own vanity and a choice between a compact shower bath combo and a practical walk-in shower. This layout sacrifices both the bedroom and bathroom space for the benefit of added privacy for twin-sharing guests, but yet it didn’t consider the toilet room is communal, which negates the whole idea of the dual-bathroom feature. Single occupants can have the housekeeping convert one of the unused beds into a day-bed.
